Oh my!! This house is brimming with the anticipation of getting on the plane tomorrow!! I don't think Cash will fall right to sleep and I doubt that Gaga will either!!! The bags are packed and packed and repacked! Well, now that we are up to 44 lbs., we just want to add add and add! Jian has never been in air conditioning, which may account for why most of the adopted children get colds before they go home. They just aren't used to the hot/cold thing like we are from air conditioning to the 90
+ degree heat. Lizzy packed those winter furry feety pajamas for him! I notice that a lot of his pics have him in long sleeves! so, the good mommy is taking every precaution possible!
Months ago I made one of those snapfish books for Jian with pics of Lizzy, Mark, Cash, Poppy, Gaga, Idie, Rich, Buddy, Lizzy, Sammy, Michael, Alyssa, Nicole and Sonny. Just my immediate family so he could look at the pics and not be surprised when he meets us. I put captions under each pic in both English and Chinese. We weren't really sure if was even in his possession let alone seeing it regularly. We got a letter from one of his care givers and she told us he looks at the pictures often! I just am in awe at how blessed we are! Wow!
Here is another sweet note from another one of his volunteers. Seems to me that he is Mr. Popularity on the adoption campus!
Max is a very loving little boy who is so smart! I believe he understands alot of English. I will ask him where his belly is and he will point to it. You ask him where his eyes are and he points to them as well as nose and ears. The SMART volunteers have been sitting with him and showing him his family picture book. Sometimes he will say ma ma! He knows the sign for cracker, eat, more, all done, shoes, socks, hat, dog, horse, cat and I know much more.
He seems to love dogs! On Monday afternoon a therapy dog has come out to the Healing Home and the children seem to love him. There is a dog who lives in the house next door and Max will take my hand and walk me over to the slider door and do the sign for dog even if the dog isn't outside. He loves to be outside. You ask him how to drive a car and he does the sign for car.
There are 3 other little boys (Joshua, John and Malachi) with birthdays close to Max's. They are the oldest boys currently in the house and seems like when one does something the other will copy - monkey see, monkey do.
I thank each of you for your prayers, support and outpouring of love. I have no doubt that this will be an amazing journey that we will never forget!!
And YEAH for me, I figured out how to post pics here from China!!!
THIS IS THE COVER PICTURE FROM THE PICTURE BOOK THAT I MADE FOR JIAN!!!
